Well, now that I am gainfully employed I am updating my life, preparing to move out and have nice things to take with me when I do. So I have purchased a new desk, about a couple months ago actually. Now I have purchased something to sit atop that desk, a new scanner. I cannot wait for it to get here. The resolution is over the top. It's small, but powerful. I will most likely be revamping my entire gallery, rescanning everything to get beautiful, high resolution images. If you're curious, this is what I am getting:

It should arrive on thursday. It's the kind of quality you just won't find in one of those all-in-one scanner, printer, fax, copier machines. Which is why I went with the unassimilated, solitary, loner flatbed scanner. A tool meant to do one job, its job. Not part of some conglomerated multi-tool, mechanical chimaera who functions at a fraction of the ability of it's seperate components because they need to sacrifice their full capability to unite in an attempt to save space. Uniting in mediocrity is far outweighed by Hermitage in excellance if you ask me.
